Chicory: A Colorful Tale, a game about a dog with a magical paintbrush, is releasing on June 10 for PS4, PS5, and PC. Described as “A painting adventure game about trying to be somebody,” the adventure game is about solving problems by painting in a top-down view.
Chicory was originally crowdfunded on Kickstarter back in 2019 by game director Greg Lobanov, who previously worked on Wandersong. The game was developed by a team of five, with credits on other titles like Celeste, Ikenfell, and Night in the Woods. In Chicory: A Colorful Tale, players can use the power of art to paint over anything in the environment and solve puzzles, unlocking new artistic powers along the way.

This December, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 will bring the fan-favorite hero back to big screen, but that’s not the only game adaptation on the way from Sega. One of the company’s classic arcade games, Shinobi, is also heading to theaters with an adaptation at Universal Pictures. And the project has already lined up a director.
Via The Hollywood Reporter, Sam Hargrave has signed on to direct the Shinobi movie. Hargrave is a former stuntman and stunt coordinator who directed both Extraction movies on Netflix starring Chris Hemsworth. Hargrave is also slated to direct Extraction 3 for the streamer. Ken Kobayashi will write the script for Shinobi.
The original Shinobi hit arcades in 1987, and placed gamers in control of Joe Musashi, a heroic Ninja who is forced to avenge his clan against a ninja crime syndicate called Zeed. Shinobi–which is the original Japanese word for ninja–spawned an additional 13 titles spanning the arcade and home consoles. The most recent game in the serie…
If you watched this year’s Awesome Games Done Quick charity speedrunning event, then you likely tuned in for its headliner: a blindfolded run through Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. It seems like it shouldn’t be possible, but the dedication runner Mitchriz did to memorize and train made it a reality, and he spoke to GameSpot about just how he did it.
In the breakdown, Mitchriz explained that prior to doing blindfolded runs of the game, he had been trying to do all the challenges he could find, but it got to a point where everyone had basically done all there was to do in Sekiro. Since others had done individual blindfolded runs, he decided the next step would be for someone to try doing the whole game that way.

Rockstar Games suffered a major leak at the end of 2022 when photos and video gameplay footage of the next Grand Theft Auto game emerged online. The situation was disappointing, but the head of Rockstar’s parent company confirmed it didn’t have an impact on business matters.
Speaking to IGN, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said the leak was “really frustrating and upsetting to the team,” but didn’t hurt the company financially. “As a business matter we’re not affected. But as a personal matter and an emotional matter, our teams are affected,” he said.
Zelnick also said that Take-Two took the situation “very seriously indeed,” and that’s no surprise to hear. After all, within days of the leak coming to light, the supposed perpetrator appeared in court and was held in a youth detention center.
Before this, Zelnick commented on how the leak was “terribly unfortunate.”
“There is no evidence that any material assets were taken, which is a good thing. And certainly, …
Bungie is making changes to one of its toughest challenges in Destiny 2: the Crucible seal, a title that players can earn for proving their mettle in the game’s player-vs.-player activity. In discussing how the seal will be altered–and the fact that you have only the next two seasons to earn it before it’s retired–Bungie also hinted at the potential return of Luna’s Howl, one of the game’s most venerated PvP weapons.
In its This Week at Bungie blog post, the developer dropped a quick hint that seems to pertain to Luna’s Howl while discussing a potential new Crucible seal. “In the short term, we do have another title coming to the Crucible. We know you’re howling [emphasis Bungie’s] for a bit more information but expect additional details on that when we get closer to next season.”
That’s not exactly definitive, but Bungie doesn’t usually make these little jokes without them meaning something. And it would make sense for the seal to also see the return of Luna’…
James Gunn has shared an update on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which is scheduled to hit theaters in 2023. He told Entertainment Weekly that the script has been finished for some time already, and that the story will be “heavier” in nature.
Gunn will shoot Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 after he finishes the Peacemaker TV show starring John Cena, which is currently filming. “I’m still shooting Peacemaker, but I’m starting to work on Guardians 3,” Gunn said. “For Guardians 3, the script has basically been written for a long time. I’ve been playing with it in little ways over the years, but it’s basically stayed the same since three years ago.”
Regarding the script itself, Gunn said, “It’s pretty heavy, actually. It’s a heavier story, so it’s an emotional process to go through.” He didn’t elaborate on this, so we can only imagine what he means. The Guardians of the Galaxy series isn’t exactly known for being too serious, so it’s intriguing to think about how it might m…
Nvidia’s latest Game-Ready Driver is out now, preparing you for Mortal Shell’s RTX patch, a slew of new G-Sync ready displays, and more.
Like the two series before it, Nvidia has certified the latest OLED displays from LG for G-Sync support. The driver also includes G-Sync certification for the LG 27GP950, a new 4K monitor with an IPS panel and 144Hz refresh rate, as well as the MSI MAG301RF, a ultrawide monitor with an IPS panel and 2560×1080 resolution.

The distance between Earth and the observable edge of the universe is 46 billion light-years. That’s such a massive amount of space that it’s impossible to comprehend. Some of the greatest minds on the planet are working tirelessly to make it possible for us to get to the nearest solar system–which is only 4.2 light-years away.
Kerbal Space Program 2 developer Intercept Games, believe it or not, is right there alongside scientists studying interstellar travel. It has been building a sequel from the ground up in order to make traveling across the universe possible in-game.
“One thing we’re noticing, especially with the more advanced technologies in the game is that we’re sometimes the first people to depict something because we’re trying to keep abreast of the latest research,” said Kerbal Space Program 2 creative director Nate Simpson. “Sometimes a piece of research will come very hot off the presses and we’ll have to figure out what it mi…
The Federal Trade Commission has sued Amazon for allegedly enrolling customers into Prime without their consent and making it difficult to unsubscribe.
According to the Associated Press, the FTC filed a complaint with the US District Court for the Western District of Washington. The agency accused Amazon of deceiving customers into signing up for Prime. The complaint claimed that the company made it difficult to buy items without subscribing to Prime. Allegedly, customers were sometimes presented with buttons to close transactions that did not clearly state they would also be enrolled in Prime.
The FTC has said that the public version of the complaint has been significantly redacted, however it also claimed that the agency has “a number of allegations” which confirm the legitimacy of the lawsuit. FTC Chair Lina Khan said in a prepared statement, “Amazon tricked and trapped people into recurring subscriptions without their consent, not only frustrating users but also cost…
Hard West 2 is aptly named. Its default difficulty setting is called Hard, too, and with good reason. Enemies are punishing and your squad’s capacity to battle against overwhelming odds is tested relentlessly over the course of several dozen hours of turn-based tactical combat. It’s a game about choosing the exact right moments to use their unique skills and working them in tandem to tee up devastating chain reaction combos. It’s tough, sure, but this demonic rendition of the American Frontier, where grotesque locomotives warp to alternate dimensions and blood rituals summon the walking dead, supplies you with the necessary creative tools to stand your ground, and rising to the challenge proves immensely satisfying.
There’s more to Hard West 2 than turn-based tactical combat, but not much more. The primary focus is a series of missions, usually with some choices about which mission to tackle next. In these, you command a posse of four gunslingers, taking tu…
