Bungie Teases The Return Of A Legendary Destiny 2 PvP Gun

Bungie is making changes to one of its toughest challenges in Destiny 2: the Crucible seal, a title that players can earn for proving their mettle in the game’s player-vs.-player activity. In discussing how the seal will be altered–and the fact that you have only the next two seasons to earn it before it’s retired–Bungie also hinted at the potential return of Luna’s Howl, one of the game’s most venerated PvP weapons.

In its This Week at Bungie blog post, the developer dropped a quick hint that seems to pertain to Luna’s Howl while discussing a potential new Crucible seal. “In the short term, we do have another title coming to the Crucible. We know you’re howling [emphasis Bungie’s] for a bit more information but expect additional details on that when we get closer to next season.”

That’s not exactly definitive, but Bungie doesn’t usually make these little jokes without them meaning something. And it would make sense for the seal to also see the return of Luna’…

James Gunn Gives An Update On Guardians Of The Galaxy 3, Says It's A "Heavier" Story

James Gunn has shared an update on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which is scheduled to hit theaters in 2023. He told Entertainment Weekly that the script has been finished for some time already, and that the story will be “heavier” in nature.

Gunn will shoot Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 after he finishes the Peacemaker TV show starring John Cena, which is currently filming. “I’m still shooting Peacemaker, but I’m starting to work on Guardians 3,” Gunn said. “For Guardians 3, the script has basically been written for a long time. I’ve been playing with it in little ways over the years, but it’s basically stayed the same since three years ago.”

Regarding the script itself, Gunn said, “It’s pretty heavy, actually. It’s a heavier story, so it’s an emotional process to go through.” He didn’t elaborate on this, so we can only imagine what he means. The Guardians of the Galaxy series isn’t exactly known for being too serious, so it’s intriguing to think about how it might m…

Latest Nvidia Game-Ready Driver Brings G-Sync To More LG OLED TVs

Nvidia’s latest Game-Ready Driver is out now, preparing you for Mortal Shell’s RTX patch, a slew of new G-Sync ready displays, and more.

Like the two series before it, Nvidia has certified the latest OLED displays from LG for G-Sync support. That means the full range of B1, C1, G1 and Z1 OLED TVs are ready to work with Nvidia GPUs after this latest driver, using either a DisplayPort (with an adapter) or HDMI. The driver also includes G-Sync certification for the LG 27GP950, a new 4K monitor with an IPS panel and 144Hz refresh rate, as well as the MSI MAG301RF, a ultrawide monitor with an IPS panel and 2560×1080 resolution.

Kerbal Space Program 2 Is Heading Into Deep Space

The distance between Earth and the observable edge of the universe is 46 billion light-years. That’s such a massive amount of space that it’s impossible to comprehend. Some of the greatest minds on the planet are working tirelessly to make it possible for us to get to the nearest solar system–which is only 4.2 light-years away.

Kerbal Space Program 2 developer Intercept Games, believe it or not, is right there alongside scientists studying interstellar travel. It has been building a sequel from the ground up in order to make traveling across the universe possible in-game.

“One thing we’re noticing, especially with the more advanced technologies in the game is that we’re sometimes the first people to depict something because we’re trying to keep abreast of the latest research,” said Kerbal Space Program 2 creative director Nate Simpson. “Sometimes a piece of research will come very hot off the presses and we’ll have to figure out what it mi…

Lawsuit Accuses Amazon Of Decieving Customers Into Buying Prime

The Federal Trade Commission has sued Amazon for allegedly enrolling customers into Prime without their consent and making it difficult to unsubscribe.

According to the Associated Press, the FTC filed a complaint with the US District Court for the Western District of Washington. The agency accused Amazon of deceiving customers into signing up for Prime. The complaint claimed that the company made it difficult to buy items without subscribing to Prime. Allegedly, customers were sometimes presented with buttons to close transactions that did not clearly state they would also be enrolled in Prime.

The FTC has said that the public version of the complaint has been significantly redacted, however it also claimed that the agency has “a number of allegations” which confirm the legitimacy of the lawsuit. FTC Chair Lina Khan said in a prepared statement, “Amazon tricked and trapped people into recurring subscriptions without their consent, not only frustrating users but also cost…

Hard West 2 Review – Bouncing Back

Hard West 2 is aptly named. Its default difficulty setting is called Hard, too, and with good reason. Enemies are punishing and your squad’s capacity to battle against overwhelming odds is tested relentlessly over the course of several dozen hours of turn-based tactical combat. It’s a game about choosing the exact right moments to use their unique skills and working them in tandem to tee up devastating chain reaction combos. It’s tough, sure, but this demonic rendition of the American Frontier, where grotesque locomotives warp to alternate dimensions and blood rituals summon the walking dead, supplies you with the necessary creative tools to stand your ground, and rising to the challenge proves immensely satisfying.

There’s more to Hard West 2 than turn-based tactical combat, but not much more. The primary focus is a series of missions, usually with some choices about which mission to tackle next. In these, you command a posse of four gunslingers, taking tu…

Let's Talk About The Starfield Discourse – Spot On

Sigh. It’s been a long week on the internet.

The Starfield review embargo is up and discourse around it has been running wild–just look at the comments on our review. But in the midst of all this chatter, we can’t help but think about how much it distracts us from us having meaningful conversations about games and truly enjoying them. Though someone else’s opinion on a game can’t take away any of the joy you experience while playing it, going into a game with anger, defensiveness, or cynicism can absolutely sour the time you spend with it.

Avatar- The Way Of Water's Spider Scenes Were Shot Twice, Two Years Apart

Over a decade separates the releases between the first film and Avatar: The Way of Water. But director James Cameron wasn’t just dilly dallying away behind the scenes. In fact, he recently explained the “hideously difficult” process of filming human actors–like Jack Champion’s Spider–alongside Na’vi in the sequel with cinematographer Russell Carpenter.

Speaking with Vanity Fair, the duo explained the lighting process behind Avatar 2 and how certain scenes were shot two times years apart with Spider. “Because he was in so many scenes, in so many different environments, you really have to nail down exactly when and where and how the light is and maybe where shafts of sunlight are hitting,” Carpenter said. “If any of those cues are off, the audience goes, ‘Wait, something’s out of whack.’ And so we worked really, really hard.”

Cameron followed this up elaborating about how Champion did motion capture for Spider first before filming scenes as …

Luftrausers Review

You take to the skies in your custom-made plane. It doesn’t turn on a dime, but it’s got the extra armor and firepower you like. The smaller enemy aircraft up here are little more than cannon fodder, and you weave through their bullets with ease. The battleships on the sea below give you a bit more trouble, but you don’t panic–at least, not until the airship arrives from above and makes quick work of the very vessel you used to take down nearly a hundred others.

So goes Luftrausers, a game that would fit right in next to arcade classics like Time Pilot and Sinistar. It’s got a similar (and similarly compelling) quick-play format to an earlier game from developer Vlambeer, Super Crate Box, but it gives you more control and purpose, resulting in a game that keeps you chasing high scores for even longer.

Being a pilot in Luftrausers is easy. Holding up on the analog stick or keyboard gives thrust to your plane in whatever direction you’re pointing, which yo…
